Hull Construction:

The hull is from two skins of heart kauri planking, outer skin fore and aft with diagonal inner skin with copper rivets. The plank seams are cotton caulked and putty stopped. Planking fastened with copper nail/rivets to stringers and skin to skin. Structure consists of plywood bulkheads, sawn timber floors and frames, fore and aft kelson, stringers and gunnels. All structural members with bronze fastenings.

Construction Deck:

Plywood decks onto timber structure with fibre glass sheath to outside. Solid teak coamings fastened to deck inhale.
